Best Auto shop! Only ones I trust, they do a good job with a fair price. Other shops feel sleesy but west Seattle autoworks explains to me what's going on and keeps me informed along with making sure it's affordable and fair :)

I recently had a great experience with West Seattle Auto Works (WSAW). After taking my vehicle to a dealership mechanic, I was quoted an absurd price for a necessary repair. I decided to get a second opinion from WSAW to see if there might be a more affordable option for the repair. I made an appointment over the phone and they were quick to get my vehicle in for an inspection. When my vehicle was in the shop, I received excellent communication with the staff regarding what they found during the inspection, how much it would be should I decide to fix it, and when the vehicle would be all fixed up and ready for me to pick it up. Unlike my experience at the dealership, WSAW didn’t try to pressure me into a repair and they also quoted me on a very reasonable price. Ultimately, I decided to go through with the repairs and WSAW did a great job. My vehicle came back in great shape. I highly recommend West Seattle Auto Works!

Thought we needed a new starter. After extensive diagnosis they couldn’t recreate the same problem, though they found oil was overfilled, do drained and replaced. For sure thought we’d be paying for a few hours, but Total bill was only $85. Car now starts and runs great with no problem. They could have easily charged us $300+ And replaced with starter we didn’t really need. Never going anywhere else for car service!

Thorough and honest! The texting to update, provide info (even cost estimates) as well as to let you know when your car is ready and how to pick up after hours is amazing. Love supporting a neighborhood business, too!

Pre-sale inspection - they got the truck in on short notice and wrote up a thorough report. I'm counting the $ I spent as an investment in getting a better vehicle than the one they looked at; if you read the report carefully you can also learn a lot about what to look for on your own if you're looking to buy a particular model. I'd feel great about bringing a vehicle here for service based on my initial experience.
