We are repeat customers! About a year ago, we brought our van here based on recommendations from a few friends. They fixed it up quickly and even picked me up at home when it was done. Last week, when I had a bizarre rattling sound in the same van, I stopped in and asked if they could listen to it. Chris took it for a spin no questions asked, even though I didn't call or make an appointment! He was pretty certain, based on the sounds coming from the car, that it was the catalytic converter, so I made an appointment for the following week to get it replaced. I was expecting a painful bill considering the amount of work that needed to be done, but what could I do? I brought it in for the appointment, and instead of simply replacing the catalytic converter, they took the time to do some extra diagnostics. As it turns out, it was a very minor fix, and it cost less than 100 bucks. Mind you, I know very little about cars. If you told me the car needed blinker fluid, I would shrug and say "ok!" so the fact that they didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge is pretty awesome in itself. The fact that they went above and beyond to make sure I didn't spend more than I needed to was enough to persuade me to get on Yelp and write a review :) Thanks guys, we will be back for sure!

I have been a customer of WS Autoworks since they opened a year or two ago. They always do a great job and are trustworthy. We take both our cars there and have never had a problem. They now have a couple of service loaners, which makes it even easier to deal with maintenance and repairs.

If you are looking for an honest mechanic that is concerned about keeping customers coming back then go to these guys. They are friendly and they go above and beyond what I have dealt with at other shops. I called them after I had a terrible unsatisfying experience at Hi Line Auto Electric and I spoke to Todd and I told him what I needed done.(.He was very professional and didn't talk negatively about the other place, and I thought that was great and not desperate for customers.) He called me back after checking on prices and gave me a much lower quote on a power steering line and asked me to bring my car by just to make sure it was the right part to order. When I stopped by Todd came out and greeted me and checked and then scheduled an appointment once the part came in. This is an extremely busy place but he accommodated me as best as he could. I also told him that my cord was broken from my washer fluid and he ran inside and got some cord and fixed it for me free of charge. I dropped my car off today and Todd told me my car would be done at 2.00 PM . Sam called me at 1:30 PM and told me my car was ready and he mentioned that he noticed my car was in need of an oil change, which is true but the price was a bit high so I said no at first but changed my mind and I called him back around 2:10 and told him I had to be in Bellevue by 3:30 and he said no problem that it would be ready at 2:45, I was so impressed by this. When I picked up my car Chris told me that there was a nail in one of the tires and he fixed it for free, for free can you believe it ? Nothing is free these days. My steering issue is now fixed and doesn't make any noise, I will be coming back to West Seattle Autoworks in the future for any car repairs and will recommend them to my friends and family!

These techs are awesome. Yes, their labor/hr can be more expensive then some places but their service is bar none, their skillset is great, and they work fast. I can get electrical diagnostics as well as any mechanical diagnostic there. They always call me before they do work to verify the amount and I've never had work come out any higher than what they estimate. Sometimes its lower. LIke Jerrod I've also had the great relief of having my car fixed quickly when I'm in a jam. Having a service team that has my back is worth alot to me. I never have to worry about anything now that I've found these mechanics. They're keepers!

These guys are really, really terrific. Not only are they excellent mechanics, they are exceedingly honest and friendly, and they bend over backwards to make sure their customers are happy. On two occassions my cars had some spontaneously bad situation happen in the middle of my morning commute: one time, a window fell out of its track one a rainy day on my Miata. Another time, my radiator failed on the West Seattle Bridge in my Jetta, sending my car into a meltdown. Both times I called them up in a panic, because I needed to get the car squared away that day, and both times they said, "We can accomodate it--no problem." And driving into the lot on both days, *all* their bays were in use and their parking lot was full--so they were definitely busy. And you know what? Both of those times, when they saved my arse by fixing my car straightaway that day--the final price came in lower than their estimate. In the case of the window, it was less than half the estimate, because they discovered they could fix it without the part they thought they would need to order. How often does that happen with *your* mechanic? These guys are legitimately the best mechanics I've ever worked with. They have my business as long as I remain in Seattle.

I don't see at this point how I can give them any other rating. I was facing $70.00 towing charges and I called them just to see if they could work on it, should I end up towing it there. I started to explain the problem and he asked where I was. I tell him and he says; " Oh i will come over with some tools." Wow I'm in shock....okay he comes over and fixes it in like two seconds. Dang I'm happy. So what do I owe you? nothing Have a great Day he says. Well yeah I am thanks to you. So 5 Stars and future business to West Seattle Autoworks. I keep running into nice people on 35th Ave SW hmmmm

I was so happy to find a shop that was patient enough to explain everything to me. I just recently had my Toyota Tacoma serviced (30,000 mile) by WS Autoworks. It was super easy to communicate with them via email and set up my appt once I had a quote. Once I made my appointment and dropped the truck off they did exactly what they said they would in the quote and it was ready when they said it would be. When I picked up my truck Todd was super helpful and walked out and explained what they did and suggestions for things to watch for in the future. I couldn't be happier to find a reliable shop in my area. I will be going back in the future!

I am so happy I found this place! I am new to the area and was worried about finding a good mechanic. I thought I had time to figure it out, but then today I had a problem with my battery and my car would barely start. I looked on Yelp hoping to get some direction. I called West Seattle Autoworks and Chris said they were really busy but come on down and let him check it out. He was really friendly. I went here and was not disappointed. Even thought they were really busy, Chris stopped what he was doing to diagnose the problem. He replaced the battery right away. It was a little pricey - but for that kind of service (honest and fast) I would rather pay a little more with piece of mind.

Chris is always so accomodating and quick! Anyone know if he's single? :)

The guys at West Seattle Autoworks are great! The mechanism that rolls-up my window failed and when I brought into the repair shop just before closing they were able to get the window rolled-up and taped in place before the rain came. I then brought it back the next day once they had the replacement part and they finished the repair quickly. They are one of the few mechanics who communicate clearly on how much repairs will cost and how long they will need your car.
